Individual

In individual therapy, I value a collaborative approach in order to foster your unique healing journey. I am educated in relational Gestalt, EMDR, archetypal therapy, and embodiment, all of which we can draw from as we build a therapy that supports your growth. My therapeutic style is warm and patient, and values humor and play.

Trauma in the body

I offer an embodied approach to healing, based upon the science showing that our emotions live in the body as much as they do the mind. I can help you learn about your nervous system responses to trauma, and then we will work on ways to soothe these embodied responses and mitigate impacts on your relationship patterns today.

EMDR reprocessing

If you are feeling stuck, EMDR is a well-researched treatment to help your mind and body reprocess trauma or painful memories. I offer EMDR to help with PTSD, complex trauma, sexual issues, and other problems related to past experiences. Even with this more structured method of therapy, I work at your pace and adapt exercises to fit your needs.

Sex Therapy

I work with individuals on sexual issues impacting their lives. We will examine the stories you have taken in about sexuality and your body, including any trauma and shame you may have internalized. If there is a barrier between you and your authentic erotic self, I want to help you reconnect to your body's capacity for pleasure and play.

LGBTQ+ affirming

As a member of the queer community, I am passionate about providing therapy that is not just inclusive, but is LGBTQ+ affirming. Asexual and aromantic individuals will not be pathologized here. I also enjoy supporting family and friends of queer individuals who are going through coming-out or transition journeys.

Major life changes

Many people end up in therapy due to the stress of a major shift in their life, whether that change is exciting or grief-filled: You might be in the midst of a divorce, gender transition, a career change, the birth of a baby, or the loss of a loved one. All of these changes can come with a complicated bundle of feelings, and I love to walk with people through the process one-step-at-a-time.

Self-esteem & relationships

One of our most important relationships is that with ourselves. Unfortunately, depression, trauma, or anxiety can wear down self-esteem and cause us to be cruel to ourselves. Together, we can work to redefine that relationship with self. We will also practice important skills like boundaries, that will help you not to betray yourself in relationships with others.

Archetypal exploration

I want to help you write your own self-mythology by challenging the stories you have been told your whole life. I use a Jungian perspective to support your inner healing journey. This may look like reparenting your inner child, affirming your gender through archetypal exploration, or another story we discover together in the course of therapy.

Politics as personal

I know that neither your suffering nor your healing take place in a vacuum: I welcome the full context that contributes to your struggles, including political topics that might be hard to talk about in many places. Issues of discrimination and racism, the impact of disability or chronic illness, neurodivergence in the world, and other systemic stressors are welcome topics here.
